"Spinning Wheel"
by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Album: Blood, Sweat & Tears

In 1969, Blood, Sweat & Tears reached No. 2 in the US Billboard with this song. It was released on their self-titled album in January 1969, their second album. The album was BS&T's highwater mark. It spawned three gold-selling Top Ten singles: "Spinning Wheel," "And When I Die," and "You've Made Me So Very Happy". David Clayton-Thomas (who wrote the song) was the lead singer of Blood, Sweat & Tears for their first four albums then went solo in early 1972, but returned in 1974.

People who bought this album from Amazon.com also bought The Best of Bread, a record I got hookoed on in high school and still hear in the aisles of the grocery store. :-)
