Heh.. Yea, I suppose same thing is happening to video production / journalism that happened with home improvement (Home Depot) and investing (E*trade) - there are a lot of ugly walls out there and a lot of people lost money, but I think in the end, we end up appreciating the professionals so much more cause we're more intimately familiar with the process.
This do-it-yourself is actually an interesting phenomenon, that I think is brining people back to their roots before money and specialization was invented when you had to do everything yourself from building a house to milking a cow, which is probably the innate need people have (note, not based on any scientific research) :)
